Latvian coalition stalls issue of postponing gas market liberalization

Print versionThe bill being pushed through by a parliament committee on postponing gas market liberalization will not be debated yet by Saeima, but will be analyzed in the context of the Economy Ministry's report, as Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity) told reporters after a coalition council meeting, writes LETA.

The Economy Ministry is currently in the process of drafting proposals and analyzing potential scenarios, said the prime minister and promised to thoroughly assess the ministry's report.
The prime minister emphasized that it has been recommended to review the bill later, and before that delve into the ministry's report.
The Cabinet could look at the bill on March 12.
