Latvenergo to issue additional bonds worth EUR 30 mln

Latvenergo bonds have attracted considerable interest from investors and EUR 30 million (LVL 21 million) worth of additional bonds will be issued within the first issue of Latvenergo bonds, Nozare.lv was informed by the company's press secretary Ivita Bidere. The placement of the bonds is scheduled for January 24, writes LETA.

According to the final regulations of the first issue of Latvenergo bonds, the par value per bond will be EUR 1,000 (LVL 700). The issue will have an annual fixed coupon rate of 2.8 percent and mature on December 15, 2017.

 

The final regulations of the additional issue of Latvenergo bonds were approved on January 21 and published on the company's website. The issue will conclude on January 30. Afterwards, the bonds will be listed on NASDAQ OMX Riga.

 

As reported, on December 19, 2012, Latvenergo concluded its first issue by issuing EUR 20 million (LVL 14 million) worth of bonds. Last week, NASDAQ OMX Riga launched the listing process.

 

Under the whole bond issuance program, Latvenergo intends to issue bonds in the value of up to LVL 50 million (equivalent to EUR 70 million) and channel the raised funds into maintenance and modernization of generation, distribution and transmission network assets.

 

LETA also reported, as of tomorrow, the first issue of Latvian state-owned power utility Latvenergo bonds will be listed on the NASDAQ OMX Baltic Bond List and investors will have a chance to buy and sell Latvenergo bonds in the regulated Baltic Market.
