Anhydrite mine project presented in Lithuania

Company Margasmilte was granted the right to mine almost 240 million tonnes of anhydrite.
"It is guaranteed country's income for the next few decades, if not longer. With mining advancing, the State would receive up to LTL 30 million (EUR 8.6 million) annually, "said representative of Margasmilte company Tomas Bodrije.
Vesaite says that this question should be discussed at the Seimas.
Makunas claims that anhydrite mines would become business card of Kaunas city.
"I think that such unique and in particular necessary project should be called the strategic project of national importance. It will create new jobs and encourage the emergence of similar manufacturing industries, "said Makunas.
