Limarko purchases reefer vessel

Print versionLimarko Laivininkystes Kompanija AB signed October 2 the Memorandum of Agreement for the purchase of the reefer vessel, which shall become one of the largest vessels in the reefer fleet of the company, Limarko announced to Vilnius Stock Exchange.

The new vessel of the company was built in Japan in 1993 and is a sistership of m/v Capella, which was added to the fleet last year, reports ELTA.
The vessel under purchase is designed to carry up to 3,450 standard euro-palletes and shall transport fruits, vegetables, as well as frozen, chilled and perishable food products (meat and fish).
The takeover of the vessel shall be completed during the first half of October. After this transaction the tonnage of Limarko Laivininkystes Kompanija reefer fleet shall increase by 11%.
