The City Council of Sillamae has initiated the environmental assessment of both projects.

Sillamae schedules to build 16,000 cubic meters LPG terminal’s storage, and 480,000 cubic meters LNG storage storages, writes LETA.

Sillamae Port hopes to receive up to 300,000 cubic meter of butane-propane gas (LPG) and 2.3 billion cubic meters of liquefied gas (LNG) per year.

Currently, Sillamae Port has seven terminals for handling oil, petrochemical products, fertilizers and general cargo.

Sillamae Port was opened in 2005; its total area amounts to 650 ha.
