At a press conference in Old Town Riga on August 28, the three prime ministers of the Baltic States mentioned that during their informal meetings, the issue of the liquified natural gas terminal was reviewed. As Valdis Dombrovskis informed reporters, the three agreed to return to this issue in October when the probe in Estonia is completed.

Andrus Ansip, the Estonian government leader, explained that it is not Estonia's goal to build the terminal in Estonia, but to bring about affordable gas and safety of supply, reports LETA.

Lithuanian Premier Andrius Kubilius also accented safety and reforms in the natural gas sector by implementing EU directives. He said that he is convinced that after the results from Estonia are received, a good solution would be found.
