Sandor Liive, board chairman of Estonia energy giant Eesti Energia, said that Estonia will definitely build a nuclear power plant, the issue is just about time and place, National Broadcasting/LETA reports.

“We have to make important decisions at the right time,” Liive said in ETV’s “Dialogue” programme Thursday evening. He said that Estonia is entering a new era of investing. Currently electricity comes from two old power stations and if no solutions will be looked for in the near future the situation will become problematic. “If we don’t make decisions, then in 2016 we will have less electricity production capacity.”

Liive expressed gladness that the government has finally approved of the electricity management development plan. He said that the volume of investments of Eesti Energia in the next ten years will be 67 billion kroons.
