Gas prices in Lithuania to increase in 2010

Those consumers who use gas for cooking only and consume up to 500 cubic meters per year, will pay 1,87 litas per cubic meter. Until now, the price of one cubic meter of gas stood at 1,82 litas, reports ELTA/LETA.
Those consumers with an annual consumption of 500 to 20,000 cubic meters of gas and those who use gas for heating houses, in 2010, will pay 1,29 litas per cubic meter instead of 1,28 litas.
Import price of natural gas for all domestic consumers is the same; however it varies for individual customers' subgroups. Gas transport price depends on the quantity of gas delivered to a specific destination. The prices of natural gas for non-household consumers is decreasing every month, depending on the changes in oil products prices in the energy resource markets and fluctuations in currency exchange rates.
