Estonian state-owned energy group Eesti Energia paid 11 million kroons for its new logo, BBN/LETA quoted Äripäev.

Marina Bachmann, the press spokesperson for Eesti Energia, said that the development and implementation of the new visual identity of Eesti Energia and Enefit will cost the company five million kroons in 2009.

"Previously, the company spent six million kroons on the two-year project," she said. "Instead of nearly twenty different logos and trademarks used by our companies, we adopt one single logo of Eesti Energia. We will begin using the new trademark Enefit in the international market. What the Eesti Energia and Enefit trademarks have in common is their visual identity and the energy signature symbol. This enhances our value both in Estonia and in international markets."

Eesti Energia seems to have paid market price for its new visual identity since the development of the logo for London Olympic Games, for instance, totaled 400,000 pounds or over nine million korons.
