Euromin Holdings purchases another 11,016 shares in Ventspils nafta

Euromin Holdings , the majority shareholder in the Latvian joint-stock oil company Ventspils nafta, has purchased another 11,016 shares in the company, according to an announcement by the Nasdaq Riga Stock Exchange, writes LETA.

This means that Euromin Holdings  has purchased another 0.01 % share in Ventspils nafta.

As reported, this past September, Vitol, a company that at time owned 49.98 % of shares in the joint-stock oil company Ventspils nafta, acquired another 43.25 % that was owned by the joint-stock company Latvijas Naftas Tranzits (LNT) for EUR 79.98 mln., according to an announcement from Ventspils nafta.


Thus, Vitol Group' s holding company Euromin Holdings  (Cyprus) Limited now owns 93.24 % shares in the company and thus majority voting rights.


Ventspils nafta and its subsidiaries operated with EUR 21.22 mln. in profit in the first half of the year. The company also reported that consolidated income in January-June rose 7.6 % to EUR 95.66 mln., and gross profit increased 21.7 % to EUR 27.58 mln.
