"Close cooperation between Lithuania and Estonia is crucial in order to ensure that the Baltic States could establish a fully functioning common gas market as soon as possible," said Masiulis.

LNG terminal and its business opportunities in the region were presented to the Estonia's Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.

"It is clear that the LNG terminal can contribute to the security of gas supply in the whole Baltic region, so it was a valuable experience to learn more about its activities in Lithuania. Estonia is always positive about possible ways to take the advantage of a variety of alternatives in energy supply and then achieve energy security. Klaipeda LNG terminal is one of those ways," said Michal.
