President and education minister agree that secondary education in Latvia must be acquired at age 18

Print versionLatvian President Andris Berzins and Education Minister Rolands Broks were in agreement yesterday that a 19-year-old youth should not have to still be found in a school room – secondary education must be acquired at age 18.

At a lengthy meeting today, the president and the minister discussed various ways how to bring this about, writes LETA.
Two of the possibilities mentioned were classes on Saturdays, or perhaps starting school at an earlier age.
