Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania receives more students in 2009

Print versionOnce the single admission to Lithuanian higher education schools has ended, it has become clear that a total of 2041 students invited to study in Vytautas Magnus University (VDA) have signed agreements with the university in 2009.

This is almost 10% more compared to 2008. According to Migle Sontaite, VDU Studies Marketing Service head, the number of students wishing to study in this university with their own finances has advanced almost 25%.
This year after the single admission, 801 invited student signed state financed studies agreements with VDU and 1240 students signed charged studies agreements. In 2008, a total of 2004 invited students had signed agreements.
As some study vacancies remain, additional admission is to be announced on August 5. However, for many studies programmes the number of additional prospective students is very small.
