The company is to transfer its fast ferry to Spain and lay off some of the employees.
Mikael Granrot, CEO of Nordic Jet Line, said that the company was already using its second fast ferry in Spain where it operates a ferry line to Morocco.
"Current fuel prices make the ferry line between Tallinn and Helsinki ineffective. Today, we need ferries in Spain more than the Finnish Gulf,” Granrot said, adding that the company maintains an option to re-open the Tallinn-Helsinki ferry line in April.
Grandot said that the company plans to lay off its call centre and ground-handling crew as part of the restructuring.
Nordic Jet Line was one of five companies that operated ferry lines between Tallinn and Helsinki.
