Lithuania sends humanitarian aid to Georgia

Print versionLithuania will soon send new humanitarian aid to Georgia suffering form the military conflict. On Tuesday, the military air force plane Spartan C-27J will leave from Zokniai airport in Siauliai.

The residents of Georgia will receive tents with 500 sleeping places, sleeping-bags, electric fires, food and blood products Albuminas. The estimated worth of the humanitarian aid exceeds the quarter of a million litas (75,191 euros), informs ELTA.
The humanitarian aid will be convoyed by the officers of the Fire and Rescue Department.
Earlier Lithuania sent the humanitarian aid consisting of medicaments, bandage and other medical necessities, the total worth of which exceeded per 36,000 litas (10.830 euros).
All individuals and companies willing to support Georgia are able to transfer money to the account of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion fund (payment code 300604085; account no. LT297300010109811391; Hansabankas).
