Usackas highlighted the significance of economic cooperation with Italia

Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Usackas on January 22 received the Senator and Secretary of State of the Republic of Italy Alfredo Mantica, who is responsible for bilateral relations with the European Union countries; during the meeting, bilateral relations between Lithuania and Italy as well as important issues of foreign and security policy were discussed, informed BC the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Usackas said that Italy is an important EU and NATO member. Lithuania will seek to intensify the political dialogue, to increase investments and to promote trade between both countries.

 

The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy highlighted the significance of bilateral economic cooperation.

 

During the meeting, Usackas pointed out that Lithuania is going to make every effort to solve the issue of restitution for the building of the Lithuanian Representation and the land plot in Rome.

 

"It is a matter of historical justice and honour," said Usackas.

 

Secretary of State Mantica is to visit all the three Baltic States.
