"We – Estonia and Poland – want to be the new Europe. We are the new Europe. And we are proud of it," Ilves said when speaking to Polish entrepreneurs.

"I don’t mean new Europe in the old, demeaning meaning of the expression," said Ilves. "New Europe, where Estonia and Poland belong to means innovativeness, speed, success."

Enough of clichés like the "Polish plumber" or "Estonian bus driver" since in today's world, innovativeness and the ability to adjust to changes quickly result in success, said Ilves.

Polish President Komorowski said that Estonia and Poland are among the fastest developing states in the EU. "Estonia is one of the most technological states in the world," he said.
