Windjet launches Riga-Forli flights

Windjet will perform one flight a week on the Riga-Forli route, Wednesdays, with departures from Forli at 10:50 a.m., and from Riga at 3:15 p.m. One flight will take one hour 35 minutes, Windjet will employ an "Airbus 320" or "Airbus 319" on the route.
Forli lies is in the vicinity of popular holiday destinations, such as Rimini, Bologna, Tuscany and others.
Windjet also offers flights within Italy to such destinations as Catania, Florence, Lampedusa, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Parma, Turin, Venice and others, as well as international flights to Belgium, Germany, Romania, Russia, France, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, and now also Latvia.
At the moment Windjet is ranked as the fourth largest airline in Italy in terms of passenger turnover.
Windjet fleet is made up of "Airbus 319" and "Airbus 320" aircraft. Last year, Windjet passenger turnover totaled 2.7 million, and in 2007 - 2.5 million passengers.
The first Windjet flight from Forli will arrive in Riga at 2 p.m. today.
Founded in 2003, "Wind Jet S.P.A." is based in Italy's Catania, it fully belongs to Finaria Group.
With the new flights to Forli, passengers can now travel from Riga to four destinations in Italy: Forli, Rome, Milan and Venice. Three airlines offer flights from Riga to Italian cities: airBaltic, Ryanair and now also Windjet.
