5 Estonians among 200 biggest earners in EU bodies

It appears from the outcome of the survey that the most expensive workers for the EU budget are the judges of the various EU courts.
The highest ranking for an Estonian is place 18, belonging to Kulliki Jurimae, judge of the European Court of Justice, whose potential cost for the EU budget is estimated to have been 425,827 euros in the 2014-2015 season. Of that amount gross salary makes up 267,706 euros, of which 258,300 euros is left in the recipient's hands after the payment of EU taxes. Added to the salary are bonuses and contributions to the pension fund.
Jurimae is followed in place 30 by European Commission Vice President Andrus Ansip, whose cost for the EU budget, just like of other vice presidents of the Commission, is estimated to have been 418,877 euros, of which gross salary totaled 297,451 euros and net income 270,414 euros.
The third biggest earner among Estonians in the EU institutions is Kersti Kaljulaid, member of the European Court of Auditors, who ranked 104th overall. The cost of the member of the European Court of Auditors for the EU budget is estimated to have been 369,920 euros, of which gross salary made up 256,998 euros and net payouts 209,126 euros.
In place 136 overall comes Lauri Madise, judge of the General Court that is part of the European Court of Justice, whose potential cost for the EU budget was 357,199 euros, of which gross salary made up 250,826 euros and net payments 237,072 euros.
The fifth Estonian in the rankings is Henrik Hololei, director general of the Commission for mobility and transport, whose overall ranking is 186th and who is estimated to have cost the EU budget 311,855 euros a year, of which gross salary made up 228,364 euros and net payouts 168,970 euros.
The first six places in the overall rankings are occupied by judges, or in one case a former judge, of some EU judiciary body, with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in seventh place. Juncker's cost for the EU budget in the 2014-2015 season is estimated to have been 465,807 euros, of which gross salary made up 328,386 euros and net income 308,283 euros, according to the study commissioned by UKIP.
