Lipmans confident about Latvia's capability to organize 2014 World Hockey Championship

As Lipmans underlined in an interview on Latvian State Radio today, in successfully organizing the championship in 2006, Latvia proved that it deserves to host such sports events because great appreciation was expressed afterwards.
According to Lipmans, there are good chances to win in the bid for the championship in 2014, which is proved by the fact that the International Ice Hockey Federation perceived Latvia's application as "self-evident."
When talking about the preparatory work for the ice hockey championship in 2014, Lipmans admitted that a new sports arena should be constructed in Latvia. Lipmans hopes that there will be no clashes similar to those before the 2006 championship, therefore the job has already begun – possible locations both in Riga and outside have already been scouted for the new facility.
