Estonia exported 59 million euros worth of goods to China in the first half of 2012, compared with 67 million euros during the same period last year, news service BBN reports referring to the data provided by European statistical office Eurostat.

Imports have also decreased, from 312 million in the first half of 2011 to 262 millions in the first half of 2012, writes LETA.

As reported, Estonian state-owned business development agency Enterprise Estonia launched successful cooperation with Jilin New Energy Investment Co. Ltd., China, by signing an investment and cooperation agreement in China, which would lead to further strengthening of the mutual economic collaboration.

Chinese have chosen Estonia to be the headquarter for its European head office.

Enterprise Estonia board member Martin Hirvoja said that the investment and cooperation agreement is a step of symbolic importance in the Estonian-Chinese economic relations since so far, Chinese have not made major investments in Estonia.
