Estonia records EU's fourth lowest gasoline price in February

At the beginning of February 2013, the retail price for 95 octane gas in Latvia was EUR 1,396.54 per 1,000 liters, including taxes, the ninth lowest price in the European Union, according to the European Commission's data on fuel prices across the EU. In Lithuania, 95 octane gasoline cost EUR 1,392.71 per 1,000 liters, the seventh lowest price in the EU, whereas in Estonia – EUR 1,352 per 1,000 liters, the fourth lowest price, informs LETA.

According to the Commission's data as of February 4, the highest price for 95 octane gasoline was recorded in the Netherlands – EUR 1,967 per 1,000 liters. The lowest price was registered in Poland – EUR 1,301.91 per 1,000 liters.

 

The average retail price for 95 octane gasoline in the EU was EUR 1,591.85 on February 4, and EUR 1,633.17 per 1,000 liters in the euro area.

 

The retail price for diesel fuel in Latvia, including taxes, was EUR 1,368.34 per 1,000 liters – the seventh lowest in the EU.

 

The smallest diesel price was registered in Luxembourg – EUR 1,240.95 per liter, whereas the highest – in Italy – EUR 1,694.41 per 1,000 liters.

 

Diesel price in Estonia was EUR 1,365 per 1,000 liters, the sixth lowest in the EU, whereas in Lithuania – EUR 1,353.98 per 1,000 liters – the fourth lowest.

 

The average diesel price in the EU was EUR 1,471.77, and in the eurozone – EUR 1,464.13 per 1,000 liters.
