E-census terminates with a record in Estonia

Print versionToday, at midnight of February 2, the e-census which had lasted for a month came to an end. According to preliminary data, in the e-census the Personal Questionnaires had been completed on record of 815,467 persons, which is over 62% of the estimated population of Estonia, the Statistics Estonia informs.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to the success of this undertaking," said Mr Priit Potisepp, Director General of Statistics Estonia.
The first results of the e-census will be released by Statistics Estonia on Monday, February 6, wriets LETA.
Those who did not participate in the e-census will be visited by an enumerator in the period of February 16 to March 31, 2012.
"During the next two weeks Statistics Estonia is facing a hectic period of data processing, in the course of which addresses where the enumerators have to go will be found out," said Mr Potisepp.
