Estonians considers their family financial situation to be rather good

Most of Estonians are satisfied with their lives and considers family financial situation to be rather good, appears from Eurobarometer report, as BBN/LETA informed.

79% of Estonians consider the national financial situation to be bad. Main problems are higher unemployed and generally worsened economic situation.
Citizens predict state economic and employment situation is assessed more critically then that of the own family. The amount of optimistic people has somewhat grown in Estonia and other European countries, compared to last autumn.
Aivar Voog, author of the report from TNS Emor, explained that survey was conducted during the economic downturn, which is characterized by fast rising unemployment and reducing incomes.
"At the same time the survey was conducted in the first half of summer, from June 12 to July 2, when people are generally more untroubled," Voog said.
