Latvia one of three most hygienic countries in the world

The other two most hygienic countries of the world are Croatia and Serbia.
According to Nielsen findings, no respondents in Latvia said they never buy soap, deodorants, toothpaste or other hygiene products.
Nielsen Baltic Director General Ilona Lepa commented that, based on the results of the study, Latvian residents pay great attention to personal hygiene, cleanliness, esthetics, health.
While the criteria for choosing a particular hygiene product in Latvia are the same as elsewhere - attractive price, discounts and suchlike, none of respondents said they do not buy hygiene products at all, said Lepa.
In Estonia and Lithuania each, 2% of respondents said that they did not buy personal care products at shopping malls, which is the same as the global average. The highest percentages were recorded in Japan and Taiwan – 9% each, and Singapore – 7%.
As for cosmetics, 12% of shopping mall customers in Latvia said they did not buy cosmetics at all, as did 11% in Estonia and 8% in Lithuania. According to Nielsen data, less than 2% of respondents in Poland said they did not buy cosmetics at shopping centers, while the highest figures were registered in New Zealand – 31%, and Canada – 29%.
