These issues are going to be discussed in the Inter-Parliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Security and Defense Policy which are going to take place on September 4-6.
High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union Catherine Ashton, NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen and other high-rank officers will participate in the conference.
"Europe faces a great number of the challenges in the spheres of the security and defense. Giving the top priority the strengthening of the security of the EU citizens, we will search for the most efficient ways to develop the cooperation between NATO and the EU," said Paulauskas.
