LMT sees increases in both earnings and turnover in Q2

In the second quarter of the year, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of mobile telecommunications operator Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) reached LVL 11.7 million, which is 6.3 percent of LVL 700,000 more when compared to the previous quarter, according to a financial report by the company.

The LMT group achieved LVL 30.6 million in turnover in the second quarter of the year, which is by 1.6 percent or LVL 500,000 more when compared to the first quarter of the year.
The number of LMT clients has stayed about the same in the second quarter of the year - 1.05 million, the company informs.
Swedish telecommunications concern TeliaSonera owns a 49 percent stake in LMT, Lattelecom - 23 percent, Latvijas Valsts radio un televizijas centrs - 23 percent, the State of Latvia - five percent. The company was established in 1992, reported LETA/nozare.lv.
