Elcoteq and Sarantel to cooperate in antenna manufacturing

Sarantel Group, a manufacturer of high-performance, miniature antennas for mobile and wireless devices, will outsource its manufacturing operations to Elcoteq's Tallinn factory in Estonia, with production expected to begin in November 2010, Mwjournal.com reports.

Elcoteq provides Sarantel with a respected electronics manufacturing service partner that has already gained visibility with prospective customers. The agreement between the two companies includes Elcoteq's manufacturing, engineering and fulfillment services such as design for manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain management and logistics., writes LETA.

 

"We look forward to cooperating with Sarantel and helping to lift its technology to the next development stage. We are confident that we can make their technology more cost effective and scalable by deploying our considerable experience in high volume and low cost manufacture," said Tomi Saario, Senior Vice President, new sales and business development at Elcoteq. "Our Tallinn factory is a very efficient and flexible manufacturing site. Sarantel's manufacturing operations fit well to its expertise."

 

Elcoteq offers customers extensive full life cycle services of a product, including engineering, manufacturing, fulfillment and after market services. Customers may take the entire service package or choose the service that optimizes the production process and reduces customer's total costs best. In recent months, the company has been successful in diversifying its customer base with new customers and broadening cooperation with the existing customers. The partnership with Sarantel is a good example.
