Print versionA Latvian language news-portal called ''Anglo Baltic News'' is up and running in the United Kingdom (UK), where Latvians living and working in the country are able to read the latest news, as well as get information that could be useful to them, the Irish-Latvian news-portal Baltic-Ireland reports.

37-year-old Dace Gaile, who works as a legal assistant and translator in England, came up with the idea, and currently is the chief editor and only persons working at ''Anglo Baltic News''.
Gaile very often has had to answer legal questions from Latvians living in the UK, and decided to create a portal where such information is available in Latvian, informs LETA.
The portal itself has been gradually becoming more popular and well-known within the Latvian community, and Gaile intends to create her news-portal into a competitive media.
