Latvian inventor's technology Coneq enters Japanese market

Real Sound Lab Director Viesturs Sosars informs that currently Kenwood is looking into possibilities to use the technology invented by Skuruls also in other products, writes LETA.
In a few months, distribution of products with the Coneq technology will begin in a few more countries, including several European countries. "We are now talking about selling thousands of such sound equipment items; a very important step for our first product," Sosars points out.
Last year the "Apeq-2pro" sound equalizer developed by Real Sound Lab won the "Most Innovative Product of the Year" award in Latvia.
At the beginning of this year, Real Sound Lab concluded a license agreement with the United States company Community Professional Loudspeakers Inc.; the American company plans to use the Coneq technology in its digital signal transformation systems. The products incorporating Coneq technology are to be launched in the U.S. market by the end of this year.
The owners of Real Sound Lab are Skuruls with 38% of shares, Ineta Sorsare (34%), Normunds Bergs (8%), Ivars Klagiss, Aris Liepins and Vilnis Rozentals (5.92% of shares each), Aldis Bergmanis (1.28%) and Jurgis Zalans with 0.96% of shares, according to "Firmas.lv".
Register of Enterprises' "Lursoft" data reveals that last year Real Sound Lab posted LVL 71,702 in turnover, and LVL 86,463 in 2007. In 2008 and 2007 the company operated with losses of LVL 216,682 and LVL 220,737 respectively.
Real Sound Lab produces innovative loudspeaker measurement and correction technology for both professional use in studios and concerts, as well as at home. The Hollywood MiCasa Multimedia Inc. sound recording studio used Real Sound Lab loudspeaker equalizer technology in recording the soundtrack for the movie "Hellboy 2".
