Suharevs wins gold at World U-20 Weightlifting Championship

In the
men's 77-kilogram bodyweight category, Suharevs lifted a total of 336 (156+180)
kilograms - ten kilograms more than silver medalist Hossein Soltani (Iran). The bronze medal went to Gayrat Artumyatov (Uzbekistan).
Suharevs placed first in both the snatch and clean and jerk.
As
reported, Suharevs placed fourth at the European Weightlifting Championship
this past March with a new personal best of 337 kilograms.
LETA also reported, Rebeka Koha triumphed at Women's World U-20 Weightlifting Championship on Monday, lifting a total of 219 kilograms in the 58-kilogram category.
