Latvian female beach volleyball duo Tina Graudina and Linda Elizabete Gramberga won bronze in the European U17 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Mexico on Sunday, informs LETA.
Graudina and Gramberga beat Turkey's Duygu Nur Dogan and Pelin Ilgin with 2-0 (21:9, 21:9) for a third-place finish.
Out of eight tournament games, the Latvians won seven.
The U17 is the newest of four age groups at the world championships and the tournament was held for the first time this year.
Graudina and Gramberga received an opportunity to participate in U17 World Championship after a successful elimination tournament in Portugal this past June.
