Estonia: Adven will design Porto Franco's environment-friendly renewable energy solution

Porto Franco, one of the largest real estate projects ever implemented in Estonia which will cost approximately 190 million euros, struck an agreement with Adven, provider of energy solutions, as a result of which the entire cooling system of Porto Franco will be based on renewable energy, informed Porto Franco OÜ representatives.

Due to the increasing interest of tenants and investors, East Capital Real Estate has started actively mapping and certifying environmental efficiency of its real estate portfolio. In February the Metro Plaza office building received the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) certificate, which is issued according to the most highly valued assessment method in the world. In summer of last year this certificate was also issued to the A13 office building located in Mustamäe that, too, belongs to the portfolio of East Capital Real Estate.

Latvia: In 2019, housing costs an average constituted EUR 151 monthly

Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in 2019 housing costs on average constituted EUR 151 per household monthly, which is one euro more than a year ago. Share of housing costs in the total household expenditure keeps declining – last year households spent on average 12.2% of their disposable income on housing costs (13.4% in 2018).

Estonia: Merko's FY revenue drops by 1/5 to EUR 327 mln

The annual revenue of listed Estonian construction group Merko Ehitus in 2019 dropped by one-fifth year on year to 327 mln euros and net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent declined to 16.3 mln euros from 19.3 mln euros in 2018, the group informed LETA/BNS.
