Interchemie werken De Adelaar to start operating at Kaunas LEZ in Lithuania

Interchemie werken De Adelaar, a Dutch producer of veterinary medicines, will start production at the Kaunas Free Economic Zone in Lithuania, the LEZ said in a statement.

he company plans to produce up to 6 tons of products that will be exported to more than one hundred countries across the world.


The Dutch company does not disclose the value of its investment

Stef van Gils, chief operating officer at Interchemie werken De Adelaar, says the decision to build the new production facility in Kaunas was made after the company decided to expand the range of its products. Moreover, such a decision was also influenced by ties with Interchemie's representatives in Lithuania, as well as qualified labor in the country.


The Kaunas branch now employs 20 people, with half of them being registration specialists who take care of product's international registration.


Interchemie produces generic veterinary medicines, nutritional products and disinfectants and exports to countries in Asia, Africa and South America. The company has been expanding in Europe and the United States.


The Dutch company has five production facilities, including two in the Netherlands and Estonia each and one in Lithuania. They all employ around 190 people.
