Russian businessman registers in Latvia company with EUR 40 mln share capital

The company with the largest share capital registered in the Latvian Enterprise Register last week was Stern Holding with a share capital of EUR 40 mln, writes LETA.

According to Firmas.lv business information website, Stern Holding was registered on January 6. Russian businessman Vladislav Sternfeld owns 40% in the company and 60% are held by Sternfeld Holding which is fully owned by Sternfeld himself. Last week the Russian businessman registered in Latvia one more company - Butakovo Holding with a share capital of EUR 4.114 mln.


Another company with a large share capital registered in Latvia last week was Conexus Baltic Grid. The company was registered on January 2 and has a share capital of EUR 39,786,089. Conexus Baltic Grid was established to provide natural gas transmission and storage services after unbundling of the Latvian natural gas utility Latvijas Gaze.


Altogether 147 new entities were registered in the Commercial Register and the Enterprise Register in Latvia last week, up by 22 entities from the week before. Most of the newly-registered entities or 127 are limited liability companies. At the same time, 246 entities were removed from the registers last week or by 107 less than in the week before.
