A new large shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Norway is on its way to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda, marking the ninth delivery of Equinor gas and the 30th LNG cargo in the new gas year that started on October 1, informed LETA/BNS.

"The Arctic Voyager gas carrier is scheduled to come to the port of Klaipeda on February 25. It is to deliver around 138,000 cubic meters of LNG," Klaipedos Nafta, the terminal's operator, has told.

A LNG shipment of more than 150,000 cubic meters from the United States arrived in Klaipeda last December.

Twenty LNG cargoes of up to 10,000 cubic meters each have come from the Baltic Sea port of Vysotsk, where Russia's largest private gas company Novatek has a LNG production facility, since early October, too
