Print version The largest number of new Covid-19 coronavirus cases in a 24-hour period was registered in Latvia yesterday - 41, the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC) informed LETA.
This means that the total number of coronavirus patients in Latvia has risen to 180.
During the past 24 hours, 987 people were tested for Covid-19 while the total number of coronavirus tests performed in Latvia has grown to 6,114.
Covid-19 infections have now been confirmed across Latvia. The highest number of coronavirus patients has been recorded in Riga.
As reported, in an effort to prevent Covid-19 from spreading further in Latvia, a state of emergency came into force on March 13, setting a number of tough restrictions. The state of emergency is in force until April 14.
