Lithuania posts 3.8% in annual GDP growth in Q4

Lithuania's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a seasonally and calendar-adjusted 3.8% in last quarter of 2019 to 12.664 bn euros at current prices, according to the revised estimates from the Statistics Lithuania.
Q-o-q, the economy expanded by 1%, the second estimate
shows.
It was initially reported that Lithuania's economy grew 3.7%
y-on-year and 1.3% q-o-q.
The quarterly GDP growth was mostly driven by growth in
manufacturing, mining and quarrying, wholesale and retail trade, repair of
motor vehicles and motorcycles, transport and storage, and accommodation and
food service activities.
Household final consumption expenditure increased by 1% in
the last quarter of 2019, from the third. The government sector's expenditure
rose 0.6%. Gross fixed capital formation (investment) inched down 0.5%. Exports
of goods and services shrank by 1.4% and 0.7% respectively.
