Vexoil Bunkering tops list of Latvia's biggest tax debtors in January

As at January 1, 2020, bunkering services provider Vexoil Bunkering topped the list of Latvia’s largest tax debtors with an outstanding tax debt of EUR 39.256 mln, according to the State Revenue Service’s data write LETA/BNS.

Latvia: Health Ministry proposes uniform healthcare tax also for microenterprises, patent fee payers and authors' remuneration

The Health Ministry has worked out a draft regulation to apply a uniform 1 percent healthcare tax rate not only to those included in the general tax regime but also to employees of microenterprises, payers of patent fees and taxpayers receiving authors' remuneration, reported LETA.

From the 1st February onwards Airbnb will automatically collect tourism levies during the booking process on behalf of guests staying in Vilnius. It is the first of such agreements in the Baltics and in the region. Airbnb is the first booking platform to automatically collect tourism levies for guests, istaying in the Baltic States, informed Gintarė Kavaliūnaitė from Go Vilnius.
