I always believed Nordic countries to be a role model for what Latvia should strive to become – strong, independent, able and willing to protect itself and every single one of its citizens. Unfortunately, the case of Kristīne Misāne has proved quite the opposite and has broken this illusion to reveal the not-so-pretty reality.

Building and home improvement supplies chain Kesko Senukai increased net sales in the Baltic countries to 715.5 mln euros last year, up 18.8% from 602.1 mln euros in 2018, the Verslo Zinios reported on Tuesday, based on a stock exchange release by Finland's Kesko cite LETA/BNS.

The Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority on Monday made an injunction to Eleon Green, headed by brothers Andres and Oleg Sonajalg, to remove the blades of wind turbine number 5 erected at Aidu wind farm as the watchdog finds that even when not working, the blades interfere with the work capacity of the national defense advance warning system, informed LETA/BNS.
