EcoFleet Holding OÜ acquired its former distributor in Lithuania UAB Altas Informacinės Technologijos. EcoFleet's new Lithuanian unit will temporarily be led by Jaanus Truu, the director of EcoFleet's Estonian office.

EcoFleet, which provides solutions for managing vehicle fleets, was created a year ago when the Estonian company Oskando OÜ and the Danish company Autolog Systems merged. The company is represented in Estonia, Latvia, Denmark, Norway and Sweden and after the transaction Lithuania became the sixth country EcoFleet is based in. EcoFleet will now manage the 9500 vehicles that previously belonged to customers of UAB Altas Informacinės Technologijos. The partners have agreed that financial details of the transaction will remain confidential.

“The merger will ensure EcoFleet's position as the region's leading service provider in vehicle fleet management. Our long-term goal since the establishment of the company has been to grow our market share through partnerships and acquisition of other businesses,” the CEO of EcoFleet Indrek Jaaska said.

Jaanus Truu explained that EcoFleet will now have a local branch in Lithuania and hence the service will improve for the Lithuanian customers. “Operating in the Lithuanian market helps us to adapt better to the market needs and improve our product development,” Truu said.

The previous director of UAB Altas Informacinės Technologijos Rolandas Gudelis said that the merger will give Lithuanian customers more confidence in the area of vehicle fleet management. “Emerging of the market leader is in the best interest of the customer. EcoFleet's presence in Lithuania will give our clients confidence in the continuous service development and supporting services”.

Oskando OÜ, a fleet management solutions developer that belonged to the investment company ASI (Ambient Sound Invest), joined forces with the Danish Autolog Systems in 2013, creating the region's leading fleet management services enterprise EcoFleet Holding OÜ. The enterprise manages 45 000 vehicles in 22 different countries.
