Transit company Vopak withdraws 100 mln euros of dividends from Estonia

One of Estonia's largest transit companies Vopak E.O.S. withdrew as dividends EUR 100 million and paid EUR 26.6 million of corporate income tax in 2013, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

In 2012, the company declared EUR 79 million as net dividends, which was paid at the beginning of 2013, says the company's annual financial statement for 2013. Dividend payment was accompanied by income tax liability of EUR 21 million.

 

In 2013, a net dividend of EUR 35.55 million was declared, of which 21.22 million was paid out. The company paid EUR 5.64 million of income tax on it.

 

Vopak E.O.S. last year's profit fell 30% to EUR 34.1 million, turnover dropped by 16% to EUR 152.4 million.

 

Vopak E.O.S. is a joint venture of two Dutch-registered companies, Intercross Investments B.V. and Tankmaatshappij Dipping B.V., each of whom owns 50% of the transit company.
