Print versionLocal governments to be affected by the new Rail Baltica route were introduced the interim report on strategic assessments of environmental impact and comparative results of various routes, reports LETA the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.

All routes were compared thoroughly, using criteria related to the natural environment as well as human environment, and from the point of view of technical feasibility, cost of construction works and socio-economic aspects.
Now the planning of the international high-speed railway route will proceed with analysis of proposals that were lodged.
The route of Rail Baltica in Estonia is planned to be definitively set with imposing county plans in the first half of 2016.
