Lithuania's PM supports the idea to prohibit having any alcohol in driver's blood

Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius said that he would support the proposal to prohibit having any alcohol in driver's blood, informs LETA/ELTA.

As reported, Ministry of Health arranged a plan of measures to fight against alcohol consumption. It is proposed to label alcohol, to ban external advertising of alcohol, to curb so called pseudobars, to prohibit having any alcohol in driver's blood, to increase age restrictions for buying alcohol, to restrict alcohol advertising in media, to increase excise duty on alcohol.

 

"I will support the ideas of the Minister of Health, so that such measures reducing the consumption of the alcohol would be found," said Lithuania's Prime Minister after the Government's sitting on Wednesday.

 

According to Butkevicius, he would support the proposal to prohibit having any alcohol in driver's blood.
