BC, Tallinn, 29.01.2014.Print version
Estonian state-owned postal company Eesti Post announced that increased business volumes and fast growth in the Baltic States led it to hold a 2.5 million euro procurement in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to buy vans, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

Eesti Post's administrative division head Kaido Padar said that the new vehicles will be acquired to harmonise the vehicle fleet and expand business activities in all Baltic States.

"Our volumes have increased so much that in order to service them, we need new cars to provide a high quality service everywhere in the Baltic states," Padar said.

The company intends to buy 185 vehicles over two years, 143 of which for Estonia, 20 for Latvia and 22 for Lithuania.

"By the year 2015, there will be 360 vans in Estonia, in Latvia there will be three times more vehicles than there are now or 28 and in Lithuania 70 vehicles instead of the current 55," said Padar.

Eesti Post expects offers from companies with at least 8 mln euros annual turnover till February 25.
