Riga Airport's passenger turnover unchanged in Q1

Print versionEven though national airline airBaltic posted a 9% fall in passenger turnover in the first quarter this year, Riga International Airport's passenger turnover remained almost unchanged, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

In the first quarter, the airport counted a total of 949,062 passengers, compared to 950,204 passengers in the first quarter of 2012.
Data for the first four months also show that the airport has managed to keep its passenger turnover from falling: the airport served 1.346 million passengers in the first four months, which is approximately the same as in the first four months of 2012. Last year, the airport's passenger turnover decreased 6.5% from 2011.
As reported, airBaltic carried 534,879 passengers in the first three months of 2013, a 9% decrease on the corresponding period in 2012.
