Estonian Air boost number of passengers by 4% in 10 months of 2008

602,492 of these passengers travelled on the national carrier’s regular routes.
In the year-on-year comparison, the total number of passengers grew by 4% – by 8.7% on regular flights, while the numbers of passengers in the Tallinn Airport grew by 8.1% and 5.3% respectively.
In October, 69,215 passengers flew with Estonian Air, including 63,281 of them on regular flights. In the year-on-year comparison, the number of passengers on regular flights grew by 2.3% while the number of regular passengers in the Tallinn Airport fell by 2.3%.
The total number of passengers flying with Estonian Air fell in October by 4.3% in comparison to the same month last year due to the fall in the number of chartered flights.
From January to October, Estonian Air’s market share in the Tallinn Airport was 46% on regular routes – two percentage points higher than during the same period of time last year. General market share (total of regular and chartered flights) was 42% – two percentage points smaller than during the same period of time last year.
