Cargo turnover at Tallinn and Klaipeda ports continues to increase; decreasing in Riga

Print versionIn the first two months of the year 2010, cargo turnover at the Port of Tallinn in Estonia and the Port of Klaipeda in Lithuania continued to increase, whilst cargo turnover at the Port of Riga fell once again, according to data from the business information portal Nozare.lv.

In the first two months of the year, compared to the same two months last year, the Port of Tallinn registered a 19.2% increase in cargo turnover, reaching 5.62 million tons, writes LETA.
On the other hand, the Port of Klaipeda saw a 12.2% increases in cargo turnover, reaching 4.81 millions tons.
The Port of Riga in that time registered a 7.7% reduction in cargo turnover in the first two months of this year, reaching 4.63 million tons.
