According to Martynas Laivys, head of Star1 Airlines, this route was planned as far back as at the beginning of company's activities, because there used to be a large number of passengers traveling from Lithuania to Italy till the direct flights were stopped, writes ELTA/LETA.
The airline will start operating flights to Milan on November 21. Star1 Airlines will fly to Milan, Malpensa airport, from Vilnius Airport twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It is intended to increase the number of flights in summer season.
