From the capital of Lithuania, passengers traveled with two aircrafts owned by flyLAL Charters to Turkey, Crete, Egypt, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Croatia. Another plane of flyLAL Charters serves passengers in Estonia and one more plane operates flights from Italy, reports ELTA/LETA.
"We expect even higher number of passengers in July and August as these are the main months of holiday. Yet, the total number of passengers choosing charter flights went down about 25% compared to the same period last year," CEO of flyLAL Charters Vytautas Kaikaris said.
According to him, this year, similarly to 2008, the most popular resorts remain to be the ones in Turkey and the islands of Greece. About half of all passengers select Turkey for their vacation.
